Solid-state Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR)

NMR is a powerful analytical technique used to study the atomic environment inside a material by observing the interaction between nuclear spins and magnetic fields. It is widely used in chemistry and materials science to determine molecular structures, dynamics, and compositions. NMR operates by measuring the response of the nulcei to radiofrequency pulses in a strong magnetic field.

NMR can be used to study a wide range of electrochemically active materials, like the different parts of batteries (anode, cathode, electrolyte, SEI) or electrocatytic systems (reactants, catalyst). ePROBE specializes in the operando analysis of electrochemical energy storage materials, enabling, for example, the NMR analysis of a battery while it is being charged or discharged.
