ePROBE offers consultancy on technology and innovation in in situ/operando NMR on energy storage materials. We are happy to meet you in person or virtually. A selection of our in situ NMR training comprises:

Virtual user-training session: in situ NMR hardware/accessories (2 hours)

  • Video call/tutorial on battery assembly using in situ NMR accessories
  • Talk (45 min) and Q&A session: In situ NMR in battery research - a portfolio on customised probes, accessories, and services for solid-state in situ NMR on energy storage materials

On-site user-training session: in situ NMR hardware/accessories (2 days)

  • Setup of in situ NMR hardware with the magnet and console
  • Acceptance tests and reference/baseline measurement
  • Software introduction, e.g. automatic tune/match, cycler
  • Hands-on sessions
    -- In situ cell assembly: plastic cell capsules, plastic bag cells, and customer specific cells (optional)
    -- Preparation and choice of electrode materials for in situ cells
    -- Planning and setting up an in situ / operando NMR experiment
    -- Assembly of a Li—LP30—Li in situ cell (plastic cell capsule) and setup of in situ NMR measurement on both the 7Li NMR metal and electrolyte peak using automatic tuning and matching
    -- Note, NMR SERVICE provides all the equipment to assemble the cells but no chemicals; i.e. the user needs to have metal anode, electrolyte, and active material ready. In addition, parts of this user training require access to an Argon glove box. NMR SERVICE is happy to consult the user via email, phone, or video call to purchase the chemicals/materials.
